Practical Feng Shui

Wednesday, November 3rd, 2010

In our most recent teleclass, entitled Practical Feng Shui, we spoke with consultant and expert Ann Bingley Gallops of Open Spaces Feng Shui to learn what Feng Shui is, how it’s relevant to organizers, and ways in which re-arranging a space can change the feel and energy of a room.

For example, did you know that many people place their TV in ‘command position’ in their living rooms? Having the TV as the first thing one sees when one enters a room effectively makes it the master of the space, rather than the people living there! As a result, communication is decreased and the room feels more cold and uninviting. Simply turning the TV around or covering it up when it’s not in use can have a big impact on the functionality of the space.

If you’d like to increase your knowledge of Feng Shui and hear more of Ann’s ’superstition-free’ tips and tricks, click here to purchase this teleclass audio today! Like all of our classes, this may be applied towards your continuing education credits.

Book Review: Organizing Outside the Box

Friday, October 15th, 2010

In our most recent teleclass, we spoke with Hellen Buttigieg, author of Organizing Outside the Box.  As I was preparing for this class, I discovered that I am an auditory learner.  This was surprising to me, because I always assumed I was a visual learner, but once I learned this so many things made sense!  It will really change how I do some things, and justifies many things I have thought about doing in the past with regard to my messages, reminders, and tasks.

I was very impressed with the book; it packs a lot of useful information in a short, easy-to-read style.  You can literally read this book in an afternoon and start implementing her tips and tricks for the various learning styles in your home or office that same day.

You can order a copy of Orgainzing Outside the Box from Barnes & Noble or Amazon.  Or leave a comment by October 27th telling me what space you would most like to organize, and you will be entered into a drawing to win a copy of the book.  I will contact the winner in 7-10 business days of the drawing.

Additionally, if you missed our fantastic interview with Hellen and would like to learn more about how to ‘Organize  In Your Own Learning Style’, you can purchase the teleclass from our website by clicking here.

  • What a ‘learning style’ is and what the different types of learning styles are.
  • How to figure out what learning style you or your clients use most.
