April 15th has come and gone, but did you take advantage of all your tax write offs? I am not an accountant, so we are not advising you to do anything, but I found an interesting article on Inc.com titled “My Favorite Write-off”.
The article highlights five business owners who share their favorite and in most cases unusual deductions. One entrepreneur deducted facials, manicures, and haircuts! Hmmm, I think I need to figure out how I can do that! Another business owner deducted her retirement contributions!
My advice is to start talking to your accountant or tax preparer now to see if there are some deductions you can take that may not have crossed your mind before. You may need to go into detail about what you do so your accountant fully understands how they can help you take advantage of all the deductions you deserve.
